Jody Friedman began making music at age 14 when his father brought home a classical guitar from Cleveland. Hailing from the coastal town of Clearwater, Florida; the self-taught performer has been dedicated to honing his craft every day since. In 2003, Jody's distinct sound won him first place in CNN's International Talent Search Competition. In 2004, he was recognized in VH-1's International "Song of the Year" Competition with his hit "The World is Fallin'.
Jody's latest endeavor, "est. 1980" is the culmination of his 10-year musical career. "est. 1980" explores universal emotions expressed through the prism of music. The growth evident from his latest project proves he is one step closer to his goal of becoming a professional recording artist.
