Lauck was born in Providence, RI. and has spent almost equal amounts of time between the Washington DC area and Central Indiana area. He began songwriting as a means of self expression in college. Paul writes genuine from the heart acoustic popsongs..achingly beautiful songs about love lost and found sung "In a starkly emotional
way."
Paul has enjoyed being the Thursday night house music for the Bourbon Street Distillery in Indiana every week for about two years with the great backing band, "Dead Wednesdays". They have played for the Indy Parks Department Summer Concert Series for several seasons. Paul still maintain a monthly engagement at Corner Coffee in Indianapolis where he performs newer material.
